A Cool Coincidence
I have a subscription to a magazine just for girls. It is call New Moon Girls. I was reading a story in it about a girl who had an experience that was very similar to one that I had. We also had a lot in common. She has strawberry blonde hair, she is thirteen years old, only one year older than me. She has a first moon (period) kit and a special piece of of jewelery. I think that was a really cool coincidence.

Happy Halloween
Happy Halloween everyone!!!!! I am so excited to go trick-or-treating on this pretty autumn day.I have decided that I am going to be a vampire from Transilvainia. I am not going to dress up like he sterotypical vampires that have blood dripping from their mouth and turn into bats at night. I am going to wear a really cute dress that is purple, white vampire teeth, and I will have the best time ever!!! My younger sister is going to be Tinker Bell and my younger brother is going to be Scoody Doo. I hope to get a lot of candy!!!!!!!

Lois Lowry
I am reading a book called Gathering Blue. This book is by the author Lois Lowry. I have already read The Giver. This was one of my top ten favorite books. After I read Gathering Blue I am going to read The Messenger. I am really looking forward to The Messenger. Lois Lowry has become one of my favorite authors.

My Recipe
Today I made lunch for my-self. I made Deviled Eggs! These are one of my favorite foods for any time of day. This morning I boiled three eggs. Between breakfast and lunch I was trying to think of what to make with them. Eventually I decided to make some Deviled Eggs. I remember the last time my mom made Deviled Eggs, and they were DELICIOUS!!! My recipe is this; after boiling the desired amount of eggs you cut them in half, remove the yolk, add mayonnaise, mustard, and pickle relish. Mix until mixture is nice and smooth. Once you mix the filling add it to the empty space in the egg. The last ingredient is just a dash of paprika on top of each egg half. Then simply DEVOURER!!!!

Spike
A couple of days ago I had my first volleyball practice. It was quite fun to begin with but by the time I left my arms were as limp as boiled asparagass. Not to mention my legs. They were as tired as, well, I can't a word that exsplanes how tired I was. My first game is on the second of September. I can't wait! I am also really anxious to see what our uniforms will look like this season.

A Trip to the Hair Station
Today was the most exciting day of my life. Well, at least for my 11 year old years( year). We got hair cuts!! We were going to go to the Head Start next to Publix but then we ended up going to the Hair Station near Winn- Dixie. They did a good job if you ask me. All the girls got hair cuts except for Mama. Eliot didn't get way too much cut off. On the other hand Annika and I got a good bit chopped off. Annika got her hair cut in between her ears and her chin. I got my hair cut so that it sits on my shoulders. I also got bangs. They're not much, but I like them. I love to play with my bangs when I'm just sitting down relaxing. Today was AWESOME!!!!!!

My Wonderful Brother
Ahhhhhhh!!! EVAN! He is staying at home now! Every morning I awake to a three year old child. And that is not a good thing. Also, when I try to read my book I am disturbed by a rambunctious three year old. Even when I go outside to get fresh air I end up coming inside soaking wet. Don't ask it's a long story. That is how I will spend the rest of my summer with my loving, caring, funny, well mannered, brother.

The Run
Yesterday was Saturday the 22. My mom and I went to Oak Mountain to walk in the fun run for my mom's work. I wanted to start first and finish first. But I ended up starting last and finishing in sixth place! I think I did a lot better then I thought I would. I ran the majority of the mile. Some of my Mama's friends were there too. The only thing that I didn't like was that I sweated like a pig. I took a good shower after we got home. I think I did really well. It was actually really fun.

Flowers
The other day, in the back yard, I went out to take some pictures. I love taking pictures in my back yard. My first picture was a dandelion. I thought it looks like something off of Life. My second picture was a rose that is on a rose bush in by back yard. I think I'm getting good at taking pictures on my mom's Phone

Blackberry picking today at church
On Mother's Day Sunday we went to church and found blackberries! We had to go but we stopped to pick some blackberries. But the worst part was when the prickers stuck us. They were so good! The little kids wanted to hog all the berries. I can't wait until next Sunday. I think I'm going to wear long pants next time.

Chalk
Today I was bored, I decided to go outside and chalk on the back porch. At first I didn't really know what to draw so I just started to doodle. I mixed blue and white together to make a really light blue color. Then I drew a green line and mixed white into it. Next I drew a yellow line with white mixed in. I thought it looked like a body so I drew a head and a face. Then I added some finishing touches and named it. I think it actually kind of looks like those little people you see on medicine boxes. I think I might start chalking more often now that I have some inspiration.

Summer's Coming
Yeah! We only have three more weeks of school. Usually, the last week of school is really laid back. Last year the last day of school was awesome. We put all of the desks in stacks, played games, and watched a movie. I can't wait until summer vacation is here. I don't think I'm going to do much but I'm really excited!!

Our Day At The Park
Today everybody went to the library, Hoover library that is. We checked out some really cool books and looked at all of the puppets. After we finished looking at the books we went to the library's playground. The babies had an awesome time, on the other hand, my experience was different. I liked walking the trail rather then playing at the playground. On the second bridge that went over the lake in the middle we saw a turtle and some more ducks. What was really exciting was that while we were walking off the bridge I spotted a bunch of ducklings. They were just the cutest thing!

The Trapper
The trapper, in this case the venus flytrap, is an insectivorous plant. The venus flytrap is actually native to North and South Carolina. Most of the venus fly traps around here are potted and shipped to different areas. I guess the only way you could get a venus fly trap straight from North or South Carolina is if you go there and dig one up and bring it back. I think it is awesome how the venus fly trap catches its prey. If a fly touches two of the little bristle like hairs the jaws will close in a matter of seconds. Sorry flies! :[

My Book
I was reading the book Where The Red Fern Grows. This book is awesome. I was assigned to read this book in school. I am happy to have read this book. It is about a little boy who wants two hunting dogs. But not just any dogs he wants hounds. In the beginning his parents refuse to buy Billy, the little boy, some hounds. So he saves up his money over TWO YEARS! After he has saved enough money he sneaks out and goes to town to pick up his dogs. His parents are worried sick when he gets home. I can't tell you the rest of the book or I will spoil the ending. You should definitely read this book.

Turtles
Today in school we made tessellations. If you don't know what those are they are a pattern made by tracing a special stencil. Each one fits together in a certain way. I made one that is a turtle. It is mainly green with a little bit of yellow and blue. I made a second one that has elephants on it. It is yellow, pink, and two shades of blue. CHECK IT OUT!

Ice Cream Day
Yesterday, my mom took Eliot, Annika, Ben, and I out. We didn't really know where we were going but we ended up at McDonald's. My mom said she would get us all ice cream cones. We were so excited. Then, I saw a sign that said cones are 49 cents. When we went inside it was packed! I didn't know if we were going to even get to go down the slide once. But by the time we got to the top of the slide most of the kids were gone. I was really happy because that meant we could go down the slide fast! Then ICE CREAM! My mom went to go get our ice cream. She came back with four cones and we enjoyed!

Spring Break!
We are getting off from school for 10 days. We might go to the Art Museum in Birmingham. I went there for my 10th birthday two years ago. It had a hall full of Leonardo DiVinci facts and information. We also ate lunch at the museum. I can't really remember what I had but I know I had a big slice of cake! I hope we go to the museum.

Juggling
In school we are learning how to juggle. I am working on scarf master. It is when you juggle 10 cascade, 10 columns, 10 cascade, 10 reverse cascade, 10 cascade, 10 two in one hand, and 10 cascade. It actually is not as hard as it sounds as long as you know how to juggle. In gym class, we had free play and I practiced my juggling. I am doing pretty good at juggling. If you practice enough it is easy as pie. And pie is easy.

A sunny day....
My sunny day was AWESOME!!!! I went outside and took some photos of some things that looked really cool. I took a picture of my cabbage plant. It is getting pretty big. I also took a pic of some really tall trees. They were really cool! One of my favorite pictures is the one of my feet in some flip-flops. My toe nails are painted with white stripes and a pink back-ground. Another really cool photo is the one of my shadow. I saw it and it looked really cool, so I took a pic of it. My last picture is the one of my tree in the back yard. It has some buds on it that will turn into flowers in the spring. I can't wait to see what the flowers look like.

What I'm reading...
I'm reading the book The Watson's Go To Birmingham-1963. This book is very exciting. The main characters are; Byron 13, Kenny 10, Joetta 6, Mom and Dad. The Watsons live in Flint, Michigan. It is very cold up there. My favorite part is proably when Byron got his lips stuck on the side view mirror of his car. He was kissing himself when it was freezing outside. They had to pull him off. Another part I liked was when Byron found out that he had to go to Birmingham, Alabama to spend the summer with his grandmother. If it doesn't work out he has to spend the next school year there. I'd hate to spend a whole school year in Birmingham. :)

My New Year's Resolutions 2010
I have a few New Year's resolutions. My first one is to bump all my grades up. I will do that by studying more often. I will also pay more attention in class. My next resolution is to eat healthier foods and to exercise more. I will eat better by going to the salad bar at my school and restaurants more often. I will also try to encourage my mom to buy more fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables. I will exercise more by running around my neighborhood more. I will also try to play more physical games in P.E. Those are my New Year's resolution's.
